FAQs
Why Urgent Care instead of a Hospital Emergency Room?
Emergency rooms are cost prohibitive in terms of time and money. They are often over crowded and understaffed. That means you can wait for hours to see a physician for treatment of minor injuries and conditions. Urgent Care is perfect for folks who are on the go and need an effective and efficient source of treatment.
When should I go to the emergency room?
If you believe you may need to be hospitalized or cannot wait to see a doctor until our clinic has opened for regular business hours, call your primary care physician or 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.Signs of Serious, potentially life threatening conditions:
- chest pain
- severe shortness of breath
- loss of limb
- severe blood loss.
On some occasions, Dr. Conklin has evaluated patients and felt it necessary for them to go immediately to the emergency room. If this happens while you are here, we will call an ambulance and the receiving hospital.
